Experience the Yi Peng & Loy Krathong Festival 2024: A Dual Celebration of Floating Lights and River Offerings

The Yi Peng & Loy Krathong Festival 2024 is a unique celebration that combines two of Thailand’s most beautiful festivals. Yi Peng fills the sky with glowing lanterns, while Loy Krathong adorns the rivers with floating krathongs—small, intricately crafted baskets made from banana leaves. Together, these festivals create an unforgettable visual display that symbolizes the release of negativity and the invitation of good fortune.

Guests gather at the Moonlight Sky Lantern Office before heading to a nearby village to enjoy traditional Thai snacks and handicrafts. As the evening unfolds, a delightful dinner buffet is served, featuring authentic Thai and Northern Thai dishes. After dinner, participants release their krathongs into the river and then prepare for the main event—the sky lantern release.

As thousands of lanterns rise into the air, the sky becomes a sea of twinkling lights. At the same time, the river glows softly with the light of countless floating krathongs, creating a mesmerizing combination of sky and water. The Yi Peng & Loy Krathong Festival is a moment of peace and reflection, celebrating the unity of light and water in a night that captures the essence of Thai culture.
